Introduction

What better way to learn Italian than while travelling and relaxing? Why not combine all this with a holistic regeneration to reboot your system on a deeper level?

You might think it’s too good to be true. But we will be staying in a medieval ‘borgo’ (hamlet) where the balance between mind, body and soul will come naturally.  

Locally grown organic food will help our body enjoy authentic flavours while traditional recipes will immerse us in the history and culture of the area. Walks in the woods and on the beach will make us disconnect from our daily routine. Furthermore, sharing our feelings and thoughts with other participants will make us feel part of a group and of a whole.

We will exchange energy and regenerate ourselves. In this context of immersive experience, every participant will feel free to express themselves in Italian without fear, obstacles or pressure. No rush!  

Everyone will practice and improve their language level according to their skills, pace and personality.  You will notice improvements in a short time.

 You will be part of a small group of people and this will enable you to fully participate in all the activities. Isn’t this better than just going on holiday?

Why don't you join us for DRAWING sessions?  You will learn basic tecniques on how to use "la matita" with artist Nicola De Luca.  

 

You will attend a 2 hr ART session every morning (10 hrs in total), and, in the afternoon, you will be free to paint in the garden, study Italian with experienced tutor (5 hrs in total), participate in excursions to the beach/close by town or attending a cooking workshop in the house.

1pm:     Lunch + Relaxing time

5:00       Cultural excursion  (archaeological park/Wine tasting/ Cooking class or other. In

               each activity you will speak Italian)

9:00     After dinner with sharing sessions/goodnight chats (you will be free to

               speak in Italian or English).

GOAL: Nowadays, we live different realities: Family is one, work is another as well as social media being another. We should wonder what is the reality which we really belong to, when we are far away from those who know us and from our routine. 

The goal of this special holiday is to live by your truth and start a journey within yourself that will not finish at the end of the week. We will explore our potential, or as the writer Italo Calvino said “one of the possible infinite worlds that exist within us”. We’ll learn to take care of and pamper ourselves.

And, of course you will try to be Italian for a week.

FOOD: A chef will cook for us in the villa balanced meals with respect to health and regional traditions. We will buy genuine ingredients at the local market and we’ll enjoy Km0 dishes from Dieta Mediterranea. 

 

VALUES:  We believe in lightness, slowness, silence, spirituality, energy, holism, authenticity, and freedom. Mindfulness and focusing on the moment are important.

At the end of our trip every participant can leave a testimonial of his/her experience in Italian language that will be part of a memory collection in form of a book. It could be a story, poem, song or just a thought. The collection will be treasured in the memory of our community.

LOCATION and VILLA:

The borgo is in a cool and uncontaminated valley at 600 m from the sea level. Participants will stay in beautiful rooms a few steps away from Villa Stella, where you will go every day for breakfast and the activities with the group. Rooms are independent and have a private bathroom.

The Villa has an “orto” (vegetable garden) and a beautiful garden, where we can paint or just read and relax. It is 20 minutes from the touristic town of Soverato, on the Ionic coast of Calabria and 1 hour from the International airport of Lamezia Terme.
